A few years back…I remember getting a phone call early in the morning asking me to come outside my apartment.  I see a porshe cayenne which totally looks out of place living on East mall, and sitting inside is Rashad Smith.  He’s an original member of BadBoy’s Hitmen and has produced some of my favourite hip hop songs of all time (LL Cool J - “Doin’ It, Busta’s “Whoo Hah!” etc).
After spending the day with him, the thing that stood out the most was his work ethic (and $2,000 leather boots lol). The way he broke it down has stuck with me and has been a part of me being self-motivated, and just keeping focused on my priority: my career.
“I remember when everyone else was hitting the clubs and partying, I’d be sitting in front of my drum machine making beats….save it disk then move on to the next beat.  You gotta stay on that everyday….that’s what got me to where I’m at”
